■findを使った日常会話

A: Where can I find potato chips?

　　ポテートチップスはどこにありますか？
B: We're out of potato chips.

　　ポテートチップスは売り切れです。

■findを使う会話パターン

1. I found this dress by chance.

　　私は偶然にこのドレスを見つけた。
　　find：見つける, 発見する

2. I'll find you a nice job.

　　あなたに良い職場を探してあげます。
　　find：探す

3. Please find my bicycle for me.

　　どうか私の自転車を探して下さい。

4.You'll find a library across the street.

　　道の向こうに図書館があります。
　　※「There is ~」で使うことも可能

5. I found him very nervous.

　　彼がかなりイライラしているのが分かった。
　　find+○+(to be)~：○が～なのを分かる

6. I found the book very difficult.

　　(読んでみると)その本がかなり難しいことが分かった。

　　find：経験を通じて分かる

7. He found out that the rumor was not true.

　　彼はその噂が嘘であることが分かった。
　　find out：～であると分かる

8. I found myself at the top of the mountain.
　　(気がついたら)私は山頂にいた。
　　find oneself：(気がついたら)ある場所にいる

9.The man was found killed in the yard.

　　その男は庭で死んだ状態で見つかった。

10. We couldn't find time to visit the museum.

　　私達は博物館に行く時間が無かった。
　　find：(時間が)ある
